Working as a social media manager : Part 3

1. on the fly 많은 생각이나 준비 없이 서둘러 (미루는것이 아님)

- quickly and without much thought or preperation

you're doing something quickly almost without thinking.

If you do something on the fly, you're not preparing for it.

You pretty much do it in real time / on the spot.

A : How do you make so many investing decisions on the fly every day?

B : The sotck market moves fast, so you must learn to think faster.

​

2. come up with something ~을 찾아내다, 내놓다, 생각해 내다

- to find or produce something

come up with + an idea, a solution, a name, a plan, a logo etc...

​

I can't come up with anything interesting to say.

I had to come up with a reason to turn Frank down for dinner.

3. hone one's skills 실력을 기르다, 기술을 갈고 닦다

-to develop or improve one's skills

I'm trying to hone my skills as a writer.

​

My own sentances

​

When teacher Joe asks us to make a sentance using a certain pattern in classes, it's hard to come up with anything good. However, I always try to make a sentance but I make some mistakes from time to time because I make it on the fly. I will try to hone my English skills as much as possible.
