- make it less heavy / make it less difficult to carry
After having twins, we hired a nanny to help lighten the load on my wife.

Nowadays, my husband is super busy with work so I try to lighten his load at home. However, it’s hard to put my thoughts into action. I just want to abide by our family rules.
For your reference, according to my family rules, house chores are my husband's things.
